"Glimpses of The Embrace of God" series
is based on the book of the same name
initially published by Bethany
House and currently
by Embrace Ministries.
| " . . . This series received a very positive response
from our people. We highly recommend the experience! . .
. " |
It is an inspirational series designed
to clarify perceptions and deepen relationships with Heavenly
Father.
The focus is on the character of God within the context of His
truly loving parenting style. A profile of our warm, nurturing,
involved Heavenly Father is verbally painted through rich illustrations
and meaningful Biblical passages.
| " . . . May I express my sincerest appreciation for sharing
this important subject in your own wonderfully able and quiet
way with us. We were blessed by it . . . " |
The presentations avoid psychological
jargon and religious cliches--they are fresh, meaningful, and
thought provoking. Typical presentations include: "The Father
Who's Never Too Busy For You," "Glimpses of a God Who
Hugs,"
"The Father Who Never Abandons," "The Nonperfectionistic
Perfect Parent," "If Heavenly Father Is So Good, Why
Am I In So Much Pain?," and "The Father Who Love Without
Strings."
The goal is to deepen and enrich relationships with Heavenly
Father. Many of us have had the correct information--we may have
even known all the right Bible verses--but the personal application
is still in process.
| " . . . Although we have had many eloquent speakers in our
church, Dr. Erickson's presentations were unusually unique
and self-motivating.
We were truly blessed by the presentations . . . " |
We all need to experience Heavenly
Father as a God who not only loves us based on principle, but
as a Father
who loves us passionately--with feeling. When we realize how
completely we are loved--that this concept is much more than
a religious cliché--we are freed to enthusiastically love Him
in return.
This series of sermons/presentations can be adapted to meet
the time frame allotted, although three to six presentations
is ideal. Each presentation takes approximately 40 minutes. The
series works nicely for a special weekend or a week-long evening
series at churches, camp meetings, retreats, or other church
gatherings.
